Not to mention there is only a handful of Casino's left in Tunica you would think they would be ecstatic to have guest come spend money. Just a very disappointing trip in regard to the downhill of service, hospitality & quality of the hotel. The pool & hot tub were also closed but we were told we could pay to get massages. (The buffet was closed the whole time we were there). The places to eat were very high priced for the quality & quantity of food that was served. Cashiers were rude and you were lucky if you got through a line in 10 minutes as usually only 1 or 2 is the most, we ever seen working in the 3 days we were there. Absolutely no comps even though it had been 11 years since we had been there, we were told because they are affiliated with other casino's we had been too but yet would not use our comps from there saying they are non-transferable. Personally, they need to be like most of the other Casino's and put in the beverage machines. Upon entrance from the hotel into the casino the Employees there were very rude and trying to get a drink while at a machine unless you tipped them $5.00 each time was like going to the dentist, they were rude about the soft drinks or coffee. and we found a pair of socks in the dresser which tells us the room was never cleaned properly from the previous guest! YUCK. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off the wall. The bathroom & room were outdated, the wood part on the furniture was really beat up, there was mold around the tub faucet & in the caulking on the tub. We arrived at the Hotel entrance looking the same however when we entered our room the floor was sticky and after trying all 3 lights, we finally found the bedside lamp worked, we had to call and ask for new light bulbs to be put in. We loved it so much from before and since Bus's are not taking groups decided to make this our Anniversary trip. We have stayed at the Gold Strike in previous bus trips. You did not tell me that before i booked hotel.I may add that i plan on sending a email to owners who purchased hotel about my injury and my stay at this hotel. also i went to go eat at the sports betting food place and was turned away because they said only reservations this weekend. well you owe me much more.my confirm # was 41006s3007186. by the way guest services person who only respond to these post by saying we apologize we would like a second chance to make it up to you. no nothing.i was told by a employee that new owners bought the hotel and changed a lot that explains why MGM sold it too much needs to be done and major complaints.if you care about quality and clean hotels don't stay here if you just want to gamble and don't care its for you.I have stayed here when MGM Grand had the hotel it was much better.

this hotel is falling apart and in need of a full renovation.i reported my injury and room conditions to the front desk clerk who simply stated well guess services only works mon-fri she never apologized for conditions or offered a report.the casino is filled with smoke you can taste the nicotine in your mouth.the carts for your luggage is handed by the bell hops unless you get them you will not get a cart.i called back to speak to guest services whom stated the person was in a meeting and will call me in a hour 5 days later no call. there was a piece of marble tile sticking out from the wall i hurt my foot on it and took pictures. the rooms carpet is filthy its brown so unless you open the blinds you will not see the dirt.Now the bathroom toilet is so low a toddler could sit on it when you sit down you are almost on the floor. I was here for a wedding and first of all the customer service was horrible upon checking into my air clean room on the 22second floor we found that the refrigerator had food in the bottom.
